Dear Heroes

Dear Heroes was a pro social interactive projection mapping piece on the Mater hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Algorithm created this installation during the first COVID lockdown in 2020 as a way to express our gratitude to HSE staff working during the pandemic, and to give others the chance to do the same. The piece invited the public to leave messages via an online portal which were displayed on the side of the building, as well as providing a link to donate to the hospital foundation.

I was responsible for the initial concept, and for developing the custom software which downloaded new messages from the online database and rendered the projected graphics.
