Solas Cork 2024

Solas is a recurring interactive installation by Algorithm in Cork City, Ireland, which immerses visitors in an evolving winter landscape of light and sound.

The public are invited to interact with the installation by engaging with a stylised touchscreen map, generating ethereal new sounds and lighting effects as they play.

In 2024 I redesigned and rebuilt the Solas interface software for its new location at Grand Parade in the heart of Cork City. I also managed the installation and programming of all AV hardware and remote monitoring and maintenance of the server system.
